Welcome Rev. Sam McConkey
We are excited to welcome Rev. Sam McConkey as the new pastor of Franklin First United Methodist Church.
Pastor Sam was born and raised in northeast Ohio. He attended God’s Bible School & College in Cincinnati, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Education, and later received his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky.
He has served in a variety of ministry settings, including youth ministry at Highland Ft. Thomas, two years at Carter’s Chapel, five years at Oakland, and five years at Rockfield. Sam was ordained as an elder in the Kentucky Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church in 2020 and is passionate about making disciples of Jesus Christ.
Sam and his wife, Melissa (married in 2011), have three children: Lewis (8), Miel (6), and Ruel (10 months).
In his free time, Sam enjoys running, backpacking, and roasting coffee.
Pastor Sam’s first Sunday with us will be July 12, 2026, and we look forward to welcoming him and his family into our church community.
