Money For Missions
The United Methodist Women held a successful yard sale May 1, 2010 in which they raised needed funds for a variety of local and statewide missions that benefit women and children. Thank you to all who donated their "treasures" or time to make this event happen.

UMW Hosts District UMW Meeting

Sarah Frances Ferguson Honored
The Bowling Green District of UMW recognized Sarah Frances Ferguson of
Franklin First United Methodist Church as being a member of United Methodist Women for over 50 years.
Sarah Frances Ferguson has held the office of Franklin First UMW President several times and served on various other committees. She was very active in the 1990's as unit president and night circle treasurer. She still attends and participates when able with mission projects in UMW. She also sang in the choir and provided music at UMW meetings.
She was a member of The Missionary Society before UMW was selected
as name of unit.

Joyce Al-Kishaly, UMW co-president, welcomed Joyce Porter Hammers to the unit's September meeting. Ms. Hammers, a dramatist and visual artist, portrayed Susanna Wesley in an inspiring monologue.
